EGISA is the administrative partner/local secretariat for Pepeta AFRICA, a feminist movement in SADC. PEPETA Africa is advocating for equality and gender justice. The advocacy agenda is centered around the core principles of nurturing sisterhood, building solidarity and fighting patriarchal structures and systems that limit girls and women’s ability to attain their full potential and enjoy unfettered access to their human rights.

Located in Zimbabwe, and running in Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe and the Democratic Republic of Congo, PEPETA is focused on: Addressing inequality and barriers of education access for girls including poverty, violence against girls and young women, child marriages, etc, and Representation of young women in leadership and decision making processes ensuring their voices are heard.
